A Christian-founded mentorship for men

You vs you.

The Ascent helps men rebuild identity, direction and discipline, so they can live intentionally and walk in the purpose God has given them. Three pillars carry the work: Vision, Foundation and Execution.

01Why The Ascent exists

A generation of men has lost its footing.

The Ascent exists to help them find it again, and to lead this generation back to Christ.

Men are not short of information or motivation. They are short of a foundation: a settled identity, a direction worth the cost, and the daily discipline that turns conviction into a life. The Ascent builds that foundation through a biblical lens, and then builds on it.

  1. Identity before activity

Who a man believes he is decides what he does when nobody is watching. We begin there, not with the to-do list.

  2. Purpose is walked, not found

Purpose is an enduring assignment from God to be walked in day by day, not a target to be discovered by a deadline.

  3. Responsibility is the way up

No one else can climb for you. You vs you is not a slogan about winning. It is a decision to take ownership of the man you are becoming.

02Who The Ascent serves

For the man who knows he is built for more and cannot yet see the way.

The Ascent is not only for men who have clear goals and struggle to be productive. It addresses identity and direction at the foundation. Execution and discipline follow from there.

If you recognise yourself in more than one line, you are the man this was built for.

  • A lack of direction
  • Uncertainty about purpose
  • Confusion about identity
  • Feeling lost or stagnant
  • No personal foundation
  • Difficulty living intentionally
  • Inconsistent discipline

03The three pillars

Three questions, climbed in order.

Each pillar stands on the one before it. Vision gives direction. Foundation makes a man able to carry it. Execution makes it real. The Ascent Method walks all three with one man, one to one. About The Ascent Method

01 Vision Where am I going? 02 Foundation Who must I become? 03 Execution How do I make it real?

01/ 03Where am I going?

01Where am I going?

Vision

Developing clarity, understanding direction, seeing beyond present circumstances and learning to live intentionally in alignment with God's purpose. A man cannot be consistent toward a place he cannot see.

02Who must I become?

Foundation

Reconstructing identity through a biblical lens, examining beliefs, establishing principles and developing the internal foundations needed for meaningful transformation. The vision needs a man who can carry it.

03How do I make it real?

Execution

Turning vision and foundation into consistent action through discipline, habits, practical systems, accountability and perseverance. Not a burst of motivation, but a way of living that survives an ordinary Tuesday.

04The founder

A man a few steps ahead, still walking it.

Jonathan-David founded The Ascent out of his own climb, not from a stage. At 127 kg, every attempt to change failed on the same two things: perfectionism and the fear of change.

What worked was giving it to God, deciding to do whatever it took, and tracking every day in public for three months. He reached 91 kg. The same pattern, faith first and then disciplined action, became the shape of The Ascent.

05How it fits together

One business, three parts.

The Ascent is the business. Inner Ascent is its free community, where men walk the three pillars together. The Ascent Method is its paid programme, where one man walks them with Jonathan-David one to one.

The business

The Ascent

The overarching business and brand. The teaching, the content and the three pillars are developed here from Scripture, study and lived experience: Vision, Foundation and Execution. The community and the programme both grow out of it.
